IMPORTANT: ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST SIGN A COMMITMENT AGREEMENT AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.
Counselor Requirements: Current or future professionals in the areas of Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, and Special Education. This volunteer position involves staying with one camper throughout the entire weekend. Accompanying and encouraging their camper while participating in Beep Baseball, Goal Ball, Tandem Biking, and additional activities (daily and evening). 1:1 counselors will also assist campers throughout the weekend stay over in the residence halls. Counselors must attend a mandatory orientation and training the day before camp starts.
SPECIALISTS Requirements: Specialists are responsible for organizing and teaching their activities throughout the weekend. Specialists should have experience working at other Camp Abilities or experience working with individuals with Visual Impairments or Deafblindness. Contact Lisa Innella as soon as possible if you are interested in being a Specialist at the 2012 camp.
